'World Aids Day has become a sombre day in the global calendar, as it serves a stark reminder of the number of Aids-related deaths and the terrible blight Aids has had upon the world regardless of race, religion or class. Aids is a truly global problem- but World Aids Day is also an excellent opportunity to educate people to understand what we can do to prevent the spread of the disease.'
