Trustees
Are responsible for strategy and governance of the charity and ensuring that the staff team run the organisation well; delivering good quality services for people living with HIV. All our Trustees are unpaid volunteers with particular expertise vital for governing the charity:
Chairman - Mr Ian Govendir
Ian has a Masters in Marketing and has worked as Head of Individual Giving at British Red Cross, CEO of the British Lung Foundation and head of Development at the National Deaf Children's Society. He has taught marketing and fund-raising at London Metropolitan University, Southbank University and the Institute of Fundraising. In 2009 he founded the international development charity AIDS Orphan.
Treasurer - Ms Diana Onyango
Diana has worked in both the HIV voluntary sector and as a Local Authority social worker. She is currently studying for a Masters in International Development.
Secretary - Mr Nimrod Ben-Cnaan
Nimrod works for the Law Centres Federation.
Trustee - Mrs Angela Byakwaga
Angela works at Mortimer Market Centre one of London's leading GUM clinics.
Trustee - Mrs Frances Forsbrey.

Staff
Are responsible for the day-to-day delivery of services for people living with HIV
Director - Mr Chris Woolls
Chris has a Masters degree in Voluntary Sector Management from City University. He was previously director of Staffordshire Buddies and Health Promotion Manager at Terrence Higgins Trust South. He served on the Government's Independent Advisory Group for Sexual Health and HIV from its formation in 2003 to its abolition in 2010 and as Chair of Central West London Sexual Health and HIV Forum from 2010 - 2012. He is also a Trustee of Clapham Relief Fund and Wandsworth Oasis.
Volunteer development worker - Ms Alex Huggins
Alex's background is in PR publishing. She then became a full time mother until her children started school, when she started to work for Cara part-time. She has an NVQ Level 4 in the Management of Volunteers.
Women's programme - Ms Helen Byatereka.
Seniors social worker - Mr Clive Preece.
No Recourse programme - Ms Fiona Reid.
Student social worker - Ms Aminata Mallah.
Student social worker - Ms Annmarie Cross.
